About the Engineer
Founded and operated by Professional Engineer Mark de Jong, Makron Engineering combines deep technical expertise with a personalized, client-focused approach. Mark is a licensed Professional Mechanical Design Engineer and Environmental Remediation Design Engineer, as well as a graduate of Union College. His experience includes international work for Philips Electronics in the Netherlands and seven years as a Project Engineer at Malcolm Pirnie in Clifton Park, NY, where he specialized in groundwater and soil remediation system design.
In addition to his engineering credentials, Mark is a Certified Excavator and fully insured professional. Through close collaboration with de Jong Excavation, Makron Engineering offers clients a seamless, one-stop solution—from design and permitting to complete system installation.
